January 30, 2012, Dulles, VA — Grab Networks, Inc. announced today that the company’s board of directors approved a name change to Grab Media. Effective immediately, all future business activity will be conducted as Grab Media. There has been no change in the company’s management or ownership.
“Today’s unveiling of Grab Media marks a significant milestone for our company," said Alvin Bowles, Chief Executive Officer for Grab Media. "The Grab Networks name no longer adequately represented our business, expertise or position as a leading video distribution company."
In conjunction with the name change, comScore reported that Grab Media had nearly 24 million unique viewers in December 2011, making it the second-fastest growing video company on the web as well as the 22nd largest video property on the web. It also delivered 296MM streams, earning a rank of 19th in total streams.
In addition, comScore recently released year-over-year growth numbers from November 2010 to November 2011 and measured Grab Media's network at 21MM UV’s and 278MM streams in November, up from 6MM UV’s and 51MM streams in November 2010.
The company also announced the launch of new website, www.grab-media.com. The revamped website effectively positions Grab Media an industry leader in distributing premium video content from a wide range of professional sources and brand-name advertisers to viewers.
